General
- The itinerary may be adjusted based on weather conditions or group preferences.
- Rainforest Peru Tours is not responsible for any loss, damage, or theft of personal belongings, nor for any consequences arising from such incidents.
- We assume no liability for illness or accidents. In case of medical issues, all associated costs are the client’s responsibility.
- Clients are responsible for any equipment lent to them. Damage or loss must be compensated upon return to Cusco.
- Clients declare themselves physically and mentally fit to participate. Rainforest Peru Tours holds no responsibility for any consequences should this not be the case.
Booking & Deposit
- Please contact us before making any payments.
- A 50% non-refundable deposit per person is required at the time of booking. This payment constitutes a binding contract between the client and Rainforest Peru Tours.
- Travel arrangements are not confirmed until explicitly stated in writing by Rainforest Peru Tours.
- Deposits can be made via Western Union, PayPal, or Online Payments in the name of a Rainforest Peru Tours staff member.
- Bank fees and transfer costs are the client’s responsibility; Rainforest Peru Tours will not cover these charges.
Payment of Final Balance
- The tour price is listed in U.S. dollars.
- Final payment must be made at least 24 hours before the tour at our office.
- Accepted payment methods: cash (Peruvian soles or U.S. dollars) and Visa (8% commission applies).
- The agreed price at booking confirmation will remain unchanged.
Cancellations by the Client
- Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing.
- Deposits are non-refundable. If your insurance policy covers cancellation, please check your coverage.
- Refund policy:
- More than 15 days before departure: Loss of deposit (100%).
- Between 90 and 60 days before departure: 50% refund only if 100% was paid in advance.
- Less than 48 hours before departure: No refunds, even for partial cancellations.
Cancellations or Changes by Us
- Unforeseen circumstances beyond our control (e.g., weather conditions, strikes, technical issues, government decisions) may necessitate itinerary changes.
- In such cases, we will offer alternative arrangements but no refunds will be provided.
- If significant changes occur, we will notify you before departure when possible.
- Additional costs due to these changes will be at the client’s expense.
- Rainforest Peru Tours is not liable for expenses incurred by the client (e.g., international flights, visas, vaccinations).
- If Rainforest Peru Tours cancels the tour, a 100% refund will be provided.
Acceptance of Risk
- Some Rainforest Peru Tours itineraries involve inherent risks, including the possibility of physical or emotional injury, paralysis, death, or damage to personal property.
- These risks cannot be eliminated without compromising the essence of the experience.
- By booking a tour, clients acknowledge and accept these risks and release Rainforest Peru Tours from any liability for injuries or accidents.
Authority on Tour
- The guide’s decisions are final on matters affecting group safety and well-being.
- Clients must follow the guide’s instructions at all times.
- Clients must comply with Peruvian laws, including drug regulations.
- Any behavior that endangers the group may result in expulsion from the tour without refund.
Travel Documents
- Clients must carry a valid passport (original or copy) during the tour.
Travel Insurance
- We strongly recommend travel insurance that covers accidents, medical expenses, emergency evacuations, cancellations, and baggage loss.
Third-Party Services
- While Rainforest Peru Tours directly operates some services, we also contract with independent providers (airlines, hotels, etc.).
- We take all reasonable steps to ensure quality, but we do not have full control over third parties and cannot be held liable for their actions.
Claims & Complaints
- Complaints should first be raised with the tour guide during the trip to attempt resolution.
- If the issue persists, a written complaint must be submitted within 7 days after the tour.
- Disputes will be settled in Cusco, Peru, under Peruvian law.
- Compensation claims are limited to the total price paid for the tour. Indirect, incidental, or consequential losses (e.g., lost profits) are explicitly excluded.
